About the event
As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations next week, we’re excited to offer a special public screening of the documentary film “Flossmoor: A More Perfect Place,” followed by a live conversation with the film’s producer and the Station’s owners on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
The evening will pair two milestones: 30 years of Flossmoor Station as a community gathering place, and the story of the village it calls home. Written and produced by local author and film producer Tom Dobrez, the film traces the founding of Flossmoor and its first one hundred years. His companion book, “A More Perfect Place The Story of Flossmoor” was also named “Best of Illinois History” in 2026 by the Illinois State Historical Society.
We’re excited to bring the story of Flossmoor to the Station, one of the places that helped write it!
